Abstract

Nigeria, the first sub-Saharan economy, has a significant relevance for both Europe and Spain. But Nigeria is also an amalgam of armed conflicts arising from social conflicts that effectively dissolve the possibility of attracting foreign investment. Not surprisingly, Nigeria is probably one of the countries with the greatest number of internal armed conflicts in the world. Throughout this document, seventh in the series on Nigeria and its conflicts, the conditions surrounding Nigerian society are analyzed, based on quantitative indicators extracted from various indices published in open sources, and compared with the results obtained from the analysis of the specialized literature on Nigeria.
