Résumé

This paper analyses the guidelines issued by the ICO and addressed to Data Protection Officers and small and medium-sized organisations for appropriate compliance with GDPR according to its Guide 2019 and other relevant documents produced by the British DPA. Accordingly, we consider relevant issues such as the effective compliance with data processing principles, the selection of the appropriate lawful basis for processing and individual rights of data subjects, in particular, the right to portability. The use of innovative technologies for data processing operations, such as supervised and non-supervised machine learning algorithms, will be a matter of specific consideration in this contribution.
