Abstract

Objective: spatializing through thematic maps, the students conducted their inquiry Specialization in Occupational Health Branch of the Free University Cali, in the urban area of the city of Cali and develop their analytical summaries. Methodology: Descriptive, whose target populations were 49 researches conducted in the period 1997-2010. For each point spatialization, digital map files were used that would put each of the investigations, for the preparation of abstracts followed the Colombian Technical Standard NTC- 14 861. Results: 49 abstracts were prepared and four (4) thematic maps describing the distribution of research by economic sectors: Health 36.7%, industry 24.4%, Services 20.4% Education 18.3%. The topics investigated correspond to the lines of: 24.4% Ergonomics, Risk psicolaboral 18.3%, 14.2% occupational medicine. Conclusions: We observed a significant increase in inquiries from the year 2007, especially in the areas of health, industry and services, the research with the greatest number of jobs are: Ergonomics, Risk and Occupational Medicine psicolaboral, most research are located in downtown areas, south and east of the city of Cali.
