The present study discusses two narratives regarding the health-illness-care process (HIC) and the interaction between healthcare staff and users in different sociocultural contexts.The common denominator between the two narratives is the biomedical system and they provide additional information that was ignored by health professionals in the clinical records because their biomedical approach merely seeks to turn the suffering of individuals into illness
