Abstract
We have studied the role of the implant descentration on the end visual results of 54 patients whom we had implanted a diffractive multifocal intraocular lens, model 815 LE (3M). We have used the photographical picture processing and their computerized assessment for the measure of the intraocular lens descentration. We have found a lineal correlation between the implant descentration and visual acuity both for distance (p<0.01) and near (p<0.05) vision.
