Características de la consulta a demanda de una Unidad de Salud Bucodental de Móstoles

Zusammenfassung

Objective: to know the Characteristics and associated factors of demand care at a public dental care unit. Material and methods: a cross-sectional study has been realized on 625 subjects who demanded a dental visit during October and November, 2012, at Soto Health Center (Mostoles). Results: the main reasons for attendance to the health center were: tooth extraction (37.1%), check-up (11.5%), and referrals due to third molar pathology (11.5%). The demand of dental care was higher for females for males, and only 0.5% of patients were pregnant women. Most of attending subjects (89%) belonged to a low social class. 16.5% of patients were immigrants. To associated reason for demand with sociodemographic variables observer check-up is 19.15 (IC95%: 6.28-58.37) major among 1 to 15 year-old subjects. The females demand 4.18 (IC95%: 1.69-10.30) dental care more than males periodontal disease (gums pain). Conclusions: 37.1% of subjects attending the health center were there on demand of a tooth extraction. People belonging to a low social class, or being female were more likely to attend for a dental visit. Immigrants demand 1.69 (IC95%: 1.01-2.79) more less tooth extraction that native
