Zusammenfassung
Class 11 malocclusion is one of the most frequent orthodontic problems. More than one third of the population is affected by this malocclusion. There are many removable appliances for treating this malocclusion in the growing child when mandibular hypoplasia is the main cause. A fixed mandibular advancement appliance is indicated for a class 11 correction in postpubertal patients who report late and have little residual growth left. A postpubertal patient with a class 11 malocclusion and an increased nasolabial angle was treated using the Forsus Fatigue Resistance Device. The MSE 0.018 prescription was used during the 22 months of orthodontic treatment. The objectives and outcomes obtained using this non-collaborative appliance for mandibular advancement are assessed.
