The interest aroused in the 19th century by folklore is reflected in the works of many writers, such as Cecilia Böhl de Faber and Ruiz de Larrea, better known by the pseudonym Fernán Caballero. Among her works, the novels of customs rich in popular elements (sayings, stories, jokes, beliefs, expressions, proverbs) used by the people in the 19th century stand out, unlike the aristocracy, who tends to use neologisms and gallicisms. The proverbs mentioned in her work do not come from dictionaries or proverb collections, but from informers, since Fernán Caballero, impressed by the richness of Andalusian folklore, dedicated herself to collecting these samples of popular wisdom, along with other elements of the Andalusian heritage. She is therefore not only considered a writer, but also a folklorist. This work aims to analyse the labour and weather proverbs collected by Fernán Caballero
