Abstract

The pandemic situation resulting from COVID19, its restrictions and confinement, have led to prolonged and forced cohabitacion and alienation. Both continuos contact and distancing provoke conflict and, even more, when imposed by serious and unexpected circumstances such as those that have ocurred. In these cases, not only do differences and confrontations arise between those closest to them, but the same can happen between those who have physical separation. Social distance, which must be maintained as a health measure, risks being translated not only as physical distance but also as a lack of social sensitivity. A risk that passes by starting to not put a face to the problems or by not identifying or putting us in the skin of the other. It seems that, in this regard, in addressing the problems, the focus should be on mediation. Mediation services are more necessary than ever, and their provision must be adapted to the new reality.
