Laburpena
Muchas actividades digitales muestran características específicas, como sinergias, multi-lateralidad de los modelos de negocio, efectos de red o intensa innovación. Estos rasgos conducen a altas concentraciones en la oferta de servicios que, en ocasiones, son utilizadas por las plataformas para explotar su posición de dominio. La Comisión Europea ha propuesto en diciembre de 2020 una regulación específica que se aplicaría para algunos servicios (servicios básicos de plataforma) y sobre algunos agentes (portales de entrada) con el fin de promover la contestabilidad de los mercados y contratos más justos con los usuarios. En este trabajo se revisan los problemas de competencia encontrados, los remedios propuestos en esta regulación europea, así como cambios en curso en otras legislaciones, y se resaltan posibles problemas en la implementación de esta regulación ex ante.
