Abstract
Based on the performative relationship that exists between image and identity, this text offers a journey through the work of contemporary artists to articulate different visual story about women and work. If the identity is articulated and (re) articulated through performative processes in relation to the imaginary and, consequently, the images that are produced from artistic practices have the capacity for action, we will attend to the analysis, from a feminist and embodied perspective, of different images that give existence to some subjects, crossed by class, gender or raciality, which have had no place in the hegemonic stories of worker photography.
