Abstract
In L’Idea de’ pittori, scultori e architetti the painter and Mannerist theorician Federico Zuccari developed and inspired an innovative artistic theory based upon Graeco-Roman and medieval philosophy and theology. I shall discuss the close links between Zuccari’s writings on art and the sixteenth-century NeoAristotelian movement.
