Today in France, the theatre tends to deal with the concerns of all the layers of society, departing from the tragedy of current life and, in that way, attempts to educate the audience. To that end, the alliance of the three basic pillars—text, staging and actors, together with the audience—is unstoppable. For this reason, the contemporary drama in France is located between inheritances and innovations, and continues to be the mirror of present-day society, trying to make people think, maintaining their vigil and propitiating their awakening.
