Abstract
The years 1609 and 1610 are fundamental in the history of the Spanish Inquisition. They are the dates of the cases and auto-de-fé against those known as «witches of Zugarramurdi». A lot has been written, read and talked about these trials and the victims, but there is still much to be known about the tribunals that decide the destiny of a great number of people. The faith trial of Zugarramurdi is already a historical paradigm, but the tribunal that organized was not perfect. The present article will focus on the reports that, during a decade, were sent to the Supreme Council as they informed about the declining and pitiful situation of the Inquisitorial Court of Logroño.
