Abstract

This PhD thesis, historical, codicological and artistic study of two seventh century manuscripts, as can be understood by its title, aims at analysing, from three disciplines and their three methodologies, two manuscript books created in the illustrated period with a twofold purpose. On the one hand, it aims at suggesting an interdisciplinary study model for similar materials. On the other hand, it intends to contribute with unpublished information on the two books, theirs authors and their faith, answering the following questions: Who was the book directed to? What sources did the author use for its creation? What is the relationship between text and its content and between text and images? Wh
