Résumé

This thesis wants to study the reuse of muslin buildings in Córdoba, Murcia and Sevilla; it tries to answer the question: What did happen with the muslin buildings after the Castilian conquest, during Alfonso X´s government? This personal interest in this subject is due to the fact that there are many studies which describe individually the muslin buildings before the conquest in the XIIIth Century as well as those which study the first Christian buildings that were made after the conquest by the new owners. My goal is to analyse the destiny of the main muslim constructions in the time of the Wise King.The buildings studied are: palaces, mosques, baths, shipyards, markets, and hydraulic lines. This study wants to show the different reasons why these buildings were used (or not) after the Castilian conquest. The likely reasons were economic, aesthetic option, utility or futility, and finally Alfonso X´s own political project for the promotion of his monarchy.
