Abstract

According to the official definition of the National Cancer Institute, those diseases in which there are abnormal cells multiplying uncontrollably and with the capacity to invade nearby tissues are called Cancer 13.According to the report recently published by the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), the data on the incidence of cancer in Spain in 2020 indicate the appearance of 277,394 new cases, estimating an increase of the same for next years 2. The therapy used in cancer patients is varied and depends on many factors, such as the type of tumor, its stage, and the individual characteristics of the patient. In addition to the antineoplastic treatment itself, supportive therapy is administered to counteract and prevent adverse effects (antiemetics, corticosteroids, iron, heparin, pain relievers ...)...
