Inthe first decades of this century, historical series and telemovies based on our recent past triumph on Spanish television screens thanks to the rise of the biopic developed since the 90s, along with anniversaries and literature on the issue. Mixture of fiction and nonfiction, this genre constitutes the ideal support for the representation and (de)construction of a whole gallery of public roles and characters, which sanctify the political iconography of recent Spain. Through the analysis of three telemovies: 23-F: el día más largo del Rey(2009), Adolfo Suárez, el presidente(2010), and De la ley a la ley(2017), all released on generalist channels, this study explores a kind of media story about those considered the architects of the post Francoistpolitical miracle. In times close to the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, the figures of the modern monarchy, the first President of the Government in democracy, and the one considered its legal and parliamentary designer, appear as a salvific political trinity customized for a recent collective memory.
