Résumé

The Documentation of the Protector of the Royal Veterinary School, Duque de Alagón, 1832, kept in the General Archive of the Complutense University of Madrid, contains a case of scabies in dromedaries that acquires a zoonosic character infecting students and staff of the School. In the communication the case is exposed because of the interest of the measures adopted to avoid contagion, the isolation, destruction of materials carried out and finally the slaughter and incineration of animals. Also the context of the knowledge of ectoparasitosis at the time is analyzed
