Résumé

Aragón lucerne was harvested at five stages of increasing maturity during three consecutive years. Samples were analyzed for contents of total N, non protein N, 80 % ethanol extractable N, peptide N, nitrates and individual amino acids. The concentrations of the different nitrogen fractions and individual amino acids in the dry matter decreased as forage age advanced. However, there was little change ir the concentrations of non protein N an individual amino acids when the data were expressed as percentage of total N and g amino acid/16 g N, respectively. Lucerne accumulated nitrate in relatively high amounts at early stages of growth.
