Abstract

Palynological data are presented from two deposits of fluvio-lacustrine origin, located in the upper basin (Redueña) and average (Valdecarros), River Jarama valley (Madrid). In both sequences, the abundance of stone tools, as well as in bone remains, both macro and small mammals suggests, that these deposits are related to camps of hunter-gatherer societies. These camps, functional during the Middle Pleistocene (500 to 130 ka), under a climate generally warm, were seasonal, associated with river banks, being areas with excellent resources. This perspective arises, as main objective, to recreate the paleoenvironmental context, in which the aforementioned camps were develo ped as well as to establish the similarities and differences that the geographic position, prints on the vegetation.
