Résumé

The present study aims to analyze the risk factors involved in the appearance of Child-to-Parent violence. This analysis was carried out through 5033 calls made to a helpline service for parents and children in conflict of the recURRA-GINSO Program between 2013 and 2018. The results show that the most prominent risk factors for VFP families are that they do not depend on the sex of the perpetrator, there are no gender differences. The families mainly are two-parent families, in which the parents present huge difficulties to exercising parenthood, especially the establishment of norms and limits. This son or daughter has school difficulties, highlighting disruptive behaviours in the classroom. At the same time, they present psychological problems and, if she is a girl, she can make self-injurious gestures and express autolytic ideation. In addition, they have problematic relationship with peers and may have suffered bullying (and subsequently have carried it out against others). In many cases they belong to conflicting peer groups and engage in disruptive behaviour outside the home. Furthermore, the consumption of cannabis, tobacco and alcohol is present, the combination of the three substances being especially dangerous.
