Abstract

Starting from the analysis of Heraclitus offered by Heidegger, this work shows how the German thinker takes from the Greek philosopher the notion of aion in order, among other things, to oppose it to the eternal Nietzschean return and to relate it to other key aspects of his thought, such as reflection about death. But beyond the concrete interpretation of Heraclitus, what interests Heidegger is the idea of play present in the Heraclitean aphorisms, from which is derived a way of thinking that opens up a different dialectic. It is a kind of dialectical thinking that can be connected to Derrida’s reflections on death, in which Heidegger is present, and which flies over much of his analysis of literature
