Resum
Las razones de Berta (1983) is José Luis Guerin's first movie, which has been often forgotten. This film appears as an interesting object of study due to his aesthetic values that have defined the style and the intertextual connections of his filmography until today. This paper may consider the controversial "cinematographic facts" that occurred between 1982 and 1983 (around the process of production, distribution and exhibition of the movie) as the "film facts", as they depends on that circumstances. Through the method offered by semiotics we may propose some clues about the filmography of this director.
