Abstract

This paper analyses the validity of the idea of community from de Second half of the Nineteenth Century to the First third of the Twentieth one. In the paper are studied some mechanisms of social joint in the context of the crisis of artisan jobs and the emergence of a customary conscience. This investigation refers to a little provincial town. The main source is census.
