Resumen

This research project is a study of corneal aberrations from a database prepared with 1556 eyes of 778 patients of which only the right eyes were finally selected for the study, without any known corneal pathology. It involves studying the cornea to try to find relations between corneal aberrations in a healthy population depending on age, sex, AXL (axial length), WW (white to white distance), curvature parameters (mean keratometry and central astigmatism) of the anterior and posterior face, anterior chamber depth (ACD), pachymetry (thinnest point and pachymetric progression index) and elevation (distance to a reference sphere at the thinnest point) of the anterior and posterior corneal face. All this, supported by the use of corneal tomography with a Scheimpflug rotational camera, an effective exploration technique to study the relationship of corneal parameters.
