The work of Antonio de Zayas is one of the most notable examples of the Hispanic Modernism. The present monograph offers a complete view of the career path of the Duke of Amalfi, paying attention to the connection between his writing and the Parnassianism and Decadentism movements. The main focus of the study revolves around the relationship between Literature and Visual Arts, focusing on the most accomplished volumes of this poet and diplomatic: Joyeles bizantinos (1902) and Retratos antiguos (1902).
