Résumé

Digital literature is characterized by using the technological environment as a tool and a language of creation. It aims to analyze Bruno Nadeau and Jason Lewis’s work of digital literature, Still Standing from 2005, in which the use of digital media involves the conception of artistic and literary language. We will try to include the problematic of “textuality” in literatures and digital poetics, trying with this to understand how this “textuality” does not lay in its analogy with text but in its own meaning as language. This would mean that the presence or sometimes the non-presence of the text are not the only vehicles of meaning in the literary work. The literariness of digital literatures do not lie only in the text but in the relationships that exist between formal and aesthetic characteristics such as the digital work materiality (text/image), its inherent presence’s nature, its performative essence and its kinetic or immobile problematic. To deal with these four subjects will be used the continually comparison of Still Standing work with other works that are proposed as their analog antecedents. These works are characterized by treating key questions such as the interaction, multimedialism or kinetism.
