Considering subject analysis as one of the theoretical dimensions of the subject approach to information (Guimarães, 2008, 2009), we aim to identify, in the Brazilian subject analysis scientific production, the dialogical relations established between these re-searchers and the theoretical influences that guide the scientific production of these authors. We con-ducted a historical and theoretical-conceptual analysis of subject analysis and a domain analysis, in its epistemological and bibliometric approaches (Hjørland, 2002). We worked with the corpus of journal publica-tions by researchers whose lattes curricula present an incidence higher than 20% of the terms document analysis, documental reading, documentary conden-sation, documentary representation, document language, document languages (in Portuguese); then we analyzed the most productive authors and institu-tions, co-authorships, the most used journals for the dissemination of this production and, and using the software Pajek, co-authorship and citation (citing / cited) network to check the theoretical influences that guide this scientific production.
