Abstract

The teaching of digital journalism is a challenge for higher education due to the demand in the application of live methodologies that respond to the practical exercise of the journalistic profession on the Internet, constantly changing. This article presents a successfulexperience, the application of the learning model based on collaborative projects (ABPC), used for the implementation of routines and professional relationships among students, with the aim of attending on the one hand to the acquisition of competences related to technology and, on the other hand, work with current information and expand the knowledge and cultural level of those. To this end, we took advantage of the celebration of the fifth centenary of the first circumnavigation of the Earth (1519-1522) for which the students of third year of the Degree of Communication created a collaborative means of communication: Milla Cero. The evaluation of the experience was done through a questionnaire and the observation of the researchers. The results obtained allow us to affirm benefits such as the acquisition of numerous transmedia skills (literacy); the ability to work as a team; as well as the integration of knowledge from other disciplines; or motivation for the practical and professional application of work
