Abstract
This article is an introduction to the basic basis of the Arabic epigraphy of alAndalus, in which its main characteristics, its phases and typologies are presented. In addition, some examples of Arabic epigraphy in Christian contexts of the Iberian Peninsula are also expounded to exemplify the acceptance that aesthetics of al-Andalus experienced in areas of Castilla and Aragón during the Middle Ages
