Resumo
The aim of this paper is to analyze the linguistic traits that pose an extra challenge for the translator of comic-books in the story The War of Jokes and Riddles, originally published in the ongoing Batman monthly series. Due to the strategies that compensate metalinguistic humor and adapt sounds and catch phrases, translator’s work gets readers’ attention in the target language.
