Abstract

In this work, we analyse the archaeomagnetic dating method in the European region. This technique is carried out comparing the archaeomagnetic data provided by the undated archaeological artefact and the archaeomagnetic field components given by a master palaeosecular variation curve. Moreover, we discuss about the pros and cons of the dating process and show different archaeomagnetic dating examples using the “archaeodating” tool.
