Resumen
The aim of this study was to analyze the opinion of the basketball coaches and experts on specific specialization. To this was administered to 105 basketball coaches and 12 experts, the Questionnaire on Specialization in Specific Positions (Salado, 2010). The most significant results indicate that: a) experts say that should determine the appropriate specific position based primarily at the tactical, while the coaches are committed to physical characteristics; b) the coaches believe that competition requires specialization, while the experts consider that this requirement is lower, c) the highest percentage of experts chose 16 years as age of onset of specialization, while the coaches have chosen 15; d) the majority of experts believe that starting time specialization must depend on each young, while the coaches believe that more should be done at a certain age, e) both coaches and experts believe that specialization should be carried out at first not paying attention to one specific place, but taking at least two specific positions. All these data, together with other theoretical proposals may serve as a reference for coaches to the time of establishing in the process of specialization in basketball players.
