Zusammenfassung
Introduction: In the last classification of periodontal disease (World Workshop, 1999), the assignment of periodontitis as manifestation of systemic disease has been modified. The objective of this paper is to know this systemic disease that can bee associated with different alterations in the periodontum. Materials, Methods and results: For the preparation of this work, 12 articles published in international and national scientific journals have been analyzed. The MEDLINE and Cochrane databases have been used to make the search. Disscussion: We can find three different groups of diseases, which can affect the periodontum: hematologyc alterations, genetic alterations and another group that cannot be specified in a different way.
