Resumo

Landscapes have become tourist attractions, especially in rural lands where, otherwise, there is no market mechanism for landscape producers compensating. In the present work, we have analyzed the willingness to pay for a set of rural landscapes lacking in singularity but where economic activities are carried. A convenience sample according to social and cultural conditionings has been selected and willingness to pay for a set of photographs has been collected. Results show that frequency of individuals willing to pay does not exceed 20%, being younger and older individuals, as well as those without any relationship with the landscape, the groups that show a higher willing to pay and, except for the older individuals group, the groups that would disburse the greatest quantities.
