Abstract
To be young is one of the strongest wishes of nowadays. Whether one is young or not or whether one has been young already or is reaching that stage, youth is presented as an aspiration both for men and women in our society. It is in this context in which I feel drawn to analyze the procreation delay. The reduction of the number of children in families and the delay of the moment of having them are traits that have been growing in the last years in the Spanish society. People generally speak of the economical reasons of such delay. This article tries to relate the overrating of youth with the reduction and delay in having children.
