El trivial de los refranes del Quijote

Resumo

Paremias constitute a challenging language issue to tackle in the SFL / SL2 class, especially since there still isn’t a wide variety of didactic proposals to analyse the language units that make up the Spanish paremiological minimum, in particular popular proverbs and proverbial phrases. In this activity we propose the development of a trivial quiz of proverbs from one of the most renowned and translated literary proverbs collection in the world: Don Quixote. Specifically, the cards will contain questions regarding the classification, meaning, key ideas and translation of a selection of some popular paremias of Don Quixote. All information regarding the selected paremias will be taken from the Refranero multilingüe (An online collection of proverbs of the Cervantes Virtual Center, Cervantes Institute). This game could be used to assess the paremiological competence acquired by ELE learners from an intermediate-advanced level in a recreational perspective.
