Resumen

An envelope map of the Duero, Tajo and Guadiana drainage basins was produced in order to analyse morphostructural features of the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. This map shows the existence of old and high planation surfaces in the eastern parts of the basins. In the Tajo and Guadiana rivers, the entrenchment of the valleys is more conspicuous in the western areas mainly located to the west of the Herradon-Bullaque Fault. Regional and local drainage divides run along NE-SW and E-W mountain ranges that correspond to Alpine block.
