Resumen

The “Fernando Rodriguez de la Torre” (FRT) database is a collection of more than 400 files and notes on historical slope movements that have occurred in Spain, mainly during the 19th century. In the last two years it has been enhanced by its conversion into a digital database, spatialtemporal and basic geological analysis, and implementation in a standardized database. This has enabled some basic statistical information to be obtained on known slope movements in this historical period, which although relatively recent, is not generally known on a national scale; and has allowed comparison with other geo-hazard databases, such as historical floods. The database is being organized to comply with the EC Inspire Directive, to allow comparison with similar databases in other European countries, and facilitate geo-referencing.
