Abstract
Bedrock incised rivers in Extremadura have extraordinary importance and offer diverse morphologies that determine unique ecosystems of great beauty and natural wealth. Different models of entrenched river valleys are defined depending on lithology, slopes and stream power. As river slope will be conditioned by its base level, rivers will play with their valley width/depth ratio and shape their valleys in order to achieve larger geomorphic efficiency.
