Abstract

This article analyses different theoretical aspects related to creativity and foreign language acquisition. The starting point is a perspective which integrates two different trends: on the one hand, an approach based on the acquisition of a series of complex cognitive abilities and, on the other, the process of learning a foreign language from a whole approach, including the intuitive acquisition of the necessary vocabulary and structures which enable the student to be proficient in the new language. A series of practical activities, which can be used in the classroom, have also been included. They exemplify some of the procedure implied in the processing of a new language when working with a cognitive process such as creativity
