Résumé

The work presented in this paper examines the production and comprehension of a Catalan and Spanish bilingual patient (J.P.) with a motor aphasia. In an initial analysis, J.P.'s spontaneous speech in their two languages revealed a reduced speech rate, showing difficulties to retrieve the word phonological form. Object and action naming tasks on visual confrontation were administered as well as an identification task of the same material. In the production tasks in Spanish, J.P. named better acction than objetcs. In Catalan, the same pattern was observed, although the difference between naming nouns and verbs was greater than in Spanish. In contrast with production, J.P. hardly made any errors in objects and actions identification tasks, suggesting that word comprehension was more preserved
