Resumen
This article explores the causes of the descent of infant mortality during 1940-50 in Spain. Through the analysis of documents and the testimony of those who participated in health campaigns during that period, it becomes evident that the systematic teaching of child care norms by the Sección Femenina de Falange, through its extensive education network for women, was an important factor in the improvement of child health.
