Resumen
Este trabajo está encaminado a determinar la importancia relativa de algunos factores que influyen en la realización de una negociación comercial eficiente y a valorar las denominadas BATNAs (Best Alternative To A Negotiation Agreement.), toda vez que desde su enunciación como estrategia básica negociadora no han faltado defensores y detractores de las mismas. Tras una necesaria introducción de carácter conceptual, en la que s definen los pr ncipios bás cos de la negociación comercial y la esencia de las BATNAs, el trabajo expone el procedimiento seguido para obtener la información pertinente, los resultados obtenidos y la implicaciones operativas que pueden extraerse, entre las que destaca la necesaria flexibilidad de los negociadores, con BATNAs incluidas, para llegar a un acuerdo satisfactorio para ambos y lograr, así, una negociación comercial eficiente.
