Resum
The aim of this article is to take as a connecting theme the idea developed in Plutarch�s Parallel Lives and to create a relationship between life and work of two authors, a lawyer and a writer: Adolfo González Posada and Gerald Brenan. It is also to highlight the similar direction followed by their lives in some particular aspects, the aims that both characters intended to achieve through their work and how using different instruments, they reached parallel conclusions.
