Zusammenfassung
The mineralogical, geochemical and paleontological study of two characteristic materials from the fluvial to evaporitic transition zone at bottom of Cuesta Facies have been done. The existence of transition from a fluvio-marshy-to a lacustrine environment, before typical evaporitic deposition was observed. We have characterized the "coal levels" in wich 0,5-1,7 por 100 of organic matter and high contents in clay, quartz and Feldespar was remarkable. From palinnologic study we deduce a wet and warm climate. Two samples have dated as middle Miocene.
