Abstract
After the study of one specimen H from Montejo de la Sierra (Madrid), Sepedophilus bipunctatus (Gravenhorst, 1802) is firstly reported from Spain. Its morphological characters and highlights about its biological and ecological preferences as a xylodetriticole species are given. A photography of its habitus is also included.
