Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the degree of anxiety experimented by 191 dental students (93% of the registered students matriculated) in their second year in the Madrid Europeam University, related to dental tratment, by means of the anxiety scales of Corah and Kleinknecht. These questionnaries were filled in a single session in an anonymous and voluntary fashion. Results showed a positive correlation between the two scales even aner the subdivision between sex groups (p<0.01). No significant differences were found statistically, when the results between male and female groups were compared (87.8 vs 8.1 in the Corah scale, and 47.1 vs 48.9 in the Kleinknecht scale).
