Resumen
The article discusses the c. 1566-1567 painting “Wine of St. Martin's Day,” by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, which was acquired by the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid, Spain in 2009. The author describes other versions of the painting and suggests that the version at the Prado has been identified as the original. Other topics include a painting of the same subject by Bruegel in the Gonzaga Collection in Mantua, Italy, the condition and restoration of the painting, and the Tüchlein type of painting.
